Operations¶
firefly koinon runs as a headless API. Forge and other applications can use REST or the SDK without deploying the Angular frontend. The backend owns authorization, catalog scope, durable jobs and shared sessions; installing a UI does not change those controls.
Choose an installation path¶
| Task | Start here |
|---|---|
| Understand the deployment | Reference architecture |
| Install released packages | Install koinon |
| Evaluate or develop locally | Local environment |
| Configure the first organization | First start in production, then guided setup |
| Prepare queued file imports | Storage configuration, independent staging and ingestion resources |
| Diagnose a current deployment | Platform health, then the affected operation's recorded outcome |
| Upgrade or recover retained data | Migrations and backup and restore |
Deploy HTTP and background execution as separate process roles, with durable SQL queues and shared storage across replicas.
Use Platform health for passive administrator observations and allowlisted installed component information.
Read local deployment, migrations, production, configuration and observations, file persistence and cloud storage, organization knowledge behavior, and backup and recovery. Qualification separates observed local behavior from untested templates and external providers.
